Finger Lakes Cheese Festival
The Finger Lakes are a group of eleven, narrow lakes in the west-central region of upstate New York. This area is well known for it’s Riesling wines and artisanal cheeses! Sometimes referred to as “The Grand Canyon of the East,” this region also has over 1,000 miles of trails to explore, hundreds of waterfalls to marvel, numerous museums and art galleries, innovative farm-to-table cuisine, over 650 miles of shoreline and so much more to see. Located just an hour drive from the Brennan Beach RV Resort and about 3.5 hours from the Rondout Valley RV Campground, visiting this region is possible any time of year.
For the past four years, (this year will be the fifth!) the Finger Lakes Cheese Festival at the Sunset Creamery in Odessa, NY has become one of the “must-attend” events of the summer. For $5 admission, you can witness cheesemaking demos, hangout in the petting zoo, try your hand at goat milking, or attend special presentations on wine and cheese or beer and cheese pairings.
Even if you can’t make it to the festival on July 25, there is something for everyone in The Finger Lakes!
