Diamond Caverns
The Kentucky Derby is right around the corner so perhaps a visit to a Kentucky will make you a winner when it comes to planning a family vacation. Diamond Caverns, in Park City, is a little over an hour’s drive from all the Derby fun in Louisville. But that’s not all that makes this resort a winner for a May visit. Conveniently located near Mammoth Cave National Park (less than 10 minutes), you can spend the day exploring this national park’s amazing cave systems and then return to relax camp side at Diamond Caverns.
Spend the next day exploring the 743-acre resort that includes an 18-hole golf course, hiking, biking and walking trails, a pool, game room and mini-golf course. It’s family friendly, pet friendly, and guarantees a great family vacation – even if you don’t play the horses!

This campground in Kentucky was originally in the Southeast section of Thousand Trails. Is it still a part of the southeast section as I travel through the area.
Hi Carol – Diamond Caverns is now a part of our Midwest Zone. However, if you have a Southeast Zone pass, then it is still a part of your membership.
