The season may be changing but fun is always on the calendar at our preserves. Oktoberfun and Halloween haunting headline the lists. Check out what’s planned.
Preserve Events:
Lake of the Springs (Oregon House, CA) is hosting their annual Line Dance Festival October 14-15 – this show is sure to be a fun event for seasoned and new dancers alike.
Medina Lake (Lakehills, TX) goes German with their Oktoberfest event scheduled for October 13. German food, fun and dancing are on tap.
Orlando Preserve (Clermont, FL) celebrates their season opening with a Fish Fry on October 19.
Lake Gaston (Littleton, NC) is sure to scare all with their Halloween in the Woods event scheduled for October 19-21. All day fun for children and adults!
Grandy Creek (Concrete, WA) has a “Spooktacular” Weekend planned October 26-28 that includes contests of all kinds, including pumpkin carving, costume and site decorating.
Local Events:
Anacortes, WA, is the scene of a local Oktoberfest. If you’re visiting the Mt. Vernon Preserve, plan to attend this event , which features music, food and locally homemade beer during the weekend of October 5-6.
Another Oktoberfest, this one with a southern flair, will be held October 12-14 in Hohenwald, TN, just 10 miles from Natchez Trace Preserve.
Experience the excitement of the California Gold Rush as Marshall Gold Discovery State Park hosts Coloma Gold Rush Live the weekend of October 13-14. The event is just a mile from Ponderosa Preserve in Lotus, CA.
Thank you, thank you very much for planning to attend the Pocono Mountains Elvis Festival, just down the road from Pennsylvania’s Scotrun Preserve. The event, scheduled for October 19-21, is a three-day world class tribute to the King himself.
