It’s no secret that one of our most beautiful campgrounds to visit is in the Skagit Valley, Washington. With the San Juan to the West and the North Cascade National Park to the east, the folks who visit La Conner are lucky enough to be located in one of the most beautiful places in the Pacific Northwest. In addition to visiting pumpkin patches, a number of family farms, antique shops, and art galleries, this year visitors can have a fall foodie adventure at The Taste of Skagit Valley on October 30. The 2nd annual event will set you back only $30 and includes an array of perks like 5 tastings, a souvenir tasting glass, free live music and entertainment, free parking permit, and face-to-face with amazing regional vendors. One of many highlights of the Taste of Skagit Valley will be a performance from the Cantabile Chamber Choir, a twenty-person choir with an exciting mix of chamber songs. There will also be live jazz music throughout the event.
Many of the products available to taste or purchase come from local purveyors of the Skagit Valley. Silver Bell Winery is located right in La Conner, WA, and is known for its award-winning wines. Visitors may also enjoy checking out products from Fidalgo Fudge Kitchen, who make uniquely flavored fudge like the Island Special, Creamsicle, and Chai Tea. Also, find the folks at Bloom Apothecary who offer a variety of medicinal herbs like burdock root, Reishi mushroom, and rose petals from their apothecary in Anacortes, WA.
The Taste of Skagit Valley will take place at Maple Hall (104 Commercial, La Conner, WA) on October 30, 4-7pm. Purchase tickets at brownpaperbagtickets.com.
