The saguaro cacti thrives here and these plants can live 150 to 200 years! There is space for 50 vehicles to park near the Overlook and horseback riding staging happens here, as well. If you’re interested in horseback riding, make sure to make a reservation.
Madera Canyon, located an hour south of Voyager RV Resort & Hotel, is a popular recreational destination in Southeastern Arizona. Many of the hiking trails are paved and/or handicap accessible. It’s also very common to see wildlife while visiting Madera Canyon and it’s rated the third best birding destination in the United States.

Be sure to check out the DeGrazia Gallery where there is almost always an artist in residence, and where you will learn about Ettore “Ted” DeGrazia, known for establishing the Southwestern artistic style that we know today.
Southern Arizona also has a number of natural hot springs to explore. Roper Lake State Park, located an hour and a half from Voyager RV Resort & Hotel, has easy to locate hot springs in a natural stone-lined hot tub created by park rangers.
