For the past several years, Amazon.com has come up with a list of the Top 20 romantic cities in the U.S. based on data compiled from sales of romance novels, relationship books and romantic comedy movies, as well as Barry White music selections, to those zip codes.
Apparently the people in the Northeastern part of the U.S. are hopeless romantics. Amazon’s 2012 list boasts three Northeastern cities including Pittsburgh, PA, Erie, PA, and Dayton, Ohio, while the 2011 list included Ann Arbor, MI, and Cincinnati, Ohio. So grab a romance novel and head over to the preserves near these locations and relax, turn on the Barry White and let love flow.
You’ll say yes to Michigan thanks to two great preserves – Bear Cave and Saint Clair. At Bear Cave, check out the beautiful stalactites, flowstone and petrified leaves in the actual cave, which is the only cavern in the Great Lakes area. St. Clair offers 220 miles of wooded wilderness with hills, valleys and a small river.
Near Cincinnati, fall in love with the peaceful climate the Wilmington Preserve offers and give your heart a whirl and visit nearby King’s Island Amusement Park.
Where else can you find streetlamps shaped like chocolate kisses and more chocolate than even the most avid chocolate lover can handle – Hershey, PA. Our Hershey Preserve is the perfect stop on your way to or from Amazon’s romantic PA locations. You’ll love the setting of the preserve in the heart Pennsylvania’s Dutch Country.
