Lake Hartwell, conveniently located to Carolina Landing, sits on the Georgia-South Carolina border and offers more than 962 of shoreline with some of the best boating and fishing opportunities in the area.
Lake Conroe Preserve in Texas is conveniently located on the shores of the 22,000 acre Lake Conroe and offers plenty of water sport and fishing fun.

There’s some great onsite and local events at our preserves. Here’s a few to plan for in your Zone:
August 11: The Crossing/Lake Gaston Preserve
Swimmers, walkers and non-motorized vessels cross the one-mile body of water. This fundraiser helps support non-profit organizations that support Lake Gaston. Bring the entire family and have a fun filled morning. Held at Eaton Ferry Bridge, just 10 miles from the preserve. For information call (252) 586-5711or toll-free at (866)-730-5711.
August 17-19: ODW Kitchen: At ODW we love to socialize and make new friends. There is no better way to make friends than by sharing recipes and eating together. Children will have a great time making snacks during activity time. We are also encouraging recipe swapping.
August 3: 18th Annual Liz Cook Trailride, Texas Super Trailride, Rodeo and Parade/Colorado River
Fun-filled rodeo event including midnight trailride, campout under the big Texas sky, demonstrations on horsemanship, Competition rodeo, DJs, and food vendors. Sponsored by the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, event is held at the Colorado County Fairgrounds in Columbus, just 4 miles from the preserve. For information call (979) 732-5385.
August 3-4: Tournament Weekend/Lake Texoma Preserve
August 3-5: Safari Weekend/Bay Landing
Hop aboard Bay Landing’s safari wagon where the adventure to the jungle begins! See how many “jungle animals” you can find and pick up to keep. There could be a monkey in a tree, a snake on the ground or watch out for the lions and tigers! Don’t forget to enter the “Tarzan Yell” contest. You can even make a mold of all the prints you find in the park, maybe even a bobcat, deer, or a mountain lion!
August 11: Lake Whitney Triathlon/Lake Whitney Preserve
August 10-11: Pirates of the Piankatank/Chesapeake Bay
August 11: Luau at the Pavilion/Harbor View Preserve
Come dressed in your ALOHA attire and bring your own meat to grill and a side to share!
